Open to all levels including absolute beginners. George has been instructing people in the art of flagging for several decades and can help anyone take their flagging to the next level. Bring at least one pair of flags (if you have one).

Open to all flow artists (including those who started flagging in the flagging lesson just before this event). Bring at least one pair of flags (if you have one). There will be a Facebook event announcement with additional details — search for “Flag Alley San Francisco”

Community Tie-Dye
Tie-Dye Class and Open Studio

Intent: Bring together tie dye artists; replenish your flag bags; have fun. Open to any and all levels of tie-dye artists or people that want to just hang out.

Irons, string, scissors, dye, paper towels, gloves and microwaves available.
Last silk handed out at (roughly) 3:15 PM (unconfirmed).

National AIDS Memorial Grove, Golden Gate Park

Come enjoy the sun, music, flora, and friends in the beautiful National AIDS Memorial Grove. This event is open to all flow artists – fanning, flagging, poi, staff, hoopers and their supporters.
Flags are available for use or just relax, take in the fun dance music and colorful visuals. Bring a beverage, a lunch, something to sit on, and enjoy.

Susan Morabito first made her mark in the early ’90s at Fire Island’s legendary Pavilion and has since headlined iconic events like Alegria, White Party, and the GMHC Morning Party, always captivating dancers with her masterful storytelling through music.
With a career that continues to evolve, Morabito remains a sought-after DJ, holding residencies and playing at top venues across the U.S. and beyond. Whether commanding the decks at a massive festival or curating an intimate, transcendent experience, she has a unique ability to move the soul. We’re thrilled to welcome her back to FITP, where she will weave a tapestry of love and light through music—get ready for a magical afternoon!

National AIDS Memorial Grove is a dedicated space in the national landscape where millions of Americans touched directly or indirectly by AIDS can gather to heal, hope, and remember.
For all the promising prospects on the horizon, AIDS continues to invade our lives, violate our past, and rob us of our comfortable assumptions about the future. The sacred ground of this living memorial honors all who have confronted this tragic pandemic both those who have died and those who have shared their struggle, kept the vigils, and supported each other during the final hours.
SUNDAY, JULY 28th
Up Your Alley Street Fair
ROMP T-Dance: Mission to Tittikawka Island

On Dore Alley between Howard and Folsom, continuing on Folsom from 9th to Juniper and the adjoining block of 10th Street.
6pm to 1:00am
1015 Folsom. Flaggers get Access to a private Flagger + Performers lounge, with RSVP — and be sure to bring your flag bag! There will be some water and gatorade provided. The stage is open to flaggers ONLY for the first two hours, from 6pm – 8pm. After that we have blocks of time on stage interspersed with go gos and acts related to the theme. PLUS throughout the evening, just off our Flagger + Performers lounge, we have a blacklight alley just above the main stage, where up to three flaggers are able to flag at one time, all night long. There will be a flagging performance related to the night’s kinky-animal-farm theme.

Flagging In The Park is proud to become a Program of Grass Roots Gay Rights Foundation (GRGRF). GRGRF will continue offering a $2,000 matching grant for each of our 2025 events. Proving it takes a village, this event would not happen without the support of these partners: National AIDS Memorial Grove, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Flagger Central, The Lookout, Ryan Clouse, and the many donors that fund us so every dollar collected in the Grove goes to our beneficiaries, and the many volunteers that help with set up and strike.
