We got some new neighbors recently…a family of house finches likes our flowers.
And a squirrel likes their feeder.
The squirrels were getting into the bird feeder, bracing against the wall and tipping over the feeder so they could get to the feed. They’d empty the feeder in a day!
So I braced the bottom of the feeder on the railing. The squirrel came by today and tried repeatedly to dump the feed, but no luck. He’d just have to get it the same way as the birds. He came to the rail and stared in for awhile. I could *swear* he was giving us a dirty look…the cats loved it.
Now the birds are back–about seven of them. They’ve gone through almost half the feed today.
